  Visited in September 2017 the room has been updated, new paint, repaired plumbing, new bed sheets and beds, fine dining with a limited menu, pool and a great country experience.

  However before booking ring to find out what type of clientele are staying. We stayed the weekend of the classical music festival and a group of people created noise to the early hours and where was management to enforce the DO NOT DISTURB after 10pm for respect of others??

  Overall the stay was comfortable, clean and peaceful for the majority and if ordering steak and do not like pepper - TELL THEM, the chef loves using pepper.

  After 3 years we returned to beautiful Bellingen and the town and its people did not disappoint all welcoming and very friendly..... however the Bellingen Valley Motor Lodge was certainly a disappointment. We stayed in this lodge 3 years ago and the experience was excellent. This year we couldn't say the same of our experience.... the lodge is now under caretaker management and the place is run down and in need of urgent care before another guest arrives. Our room appeared clean however we shared it with cobwebs, dust and socks belonging to a previous guest. The shower leaked all night and the bathroom needs to be gutted. The neighbours air con could be heard in our room, oh and not forgetting the poor lighting both in the room and outside with a very dangerous timber trip hazard just outside our room and other rooms close buy. We were also looking forward to enjoying dinner in the restaurant as we had done on our previous visit however the menu is now so limited and couldn't really catered for our needs having a vegetarian with us. Also if you are looking to log into WIFI at the lodge it is very hit and miss. We would definitely not return and would not recommend this lodge to others and would suggest that a refurbishment takes place before another guest is charged this lodges overpriced tariff for very poor quality accomodation. On a positive note the view from the lodge is amazing and the managers friendly.

  So peaceful & quiet. Lovely gardens. Close to town, but surrounded by farms. Friendly service.

  Arrived just before 7pm and staff very accommodating. The place oozes charm and the restaurant is just a lovely place to be. Food is always subjective, but wee enjoyed it. A fantastic find.
